Reviews for YOU CAN HAVE A HAPPY FAMILY
This powerful faith-based book is a must read for every family. It grabbed me on the first page and didn't let go till I had turned the last page. I wish this book were required reading for every couple about to be married. As the back cover says, GOD CAN...a thought to carry with you every day.

Amanda Beth has written something that's far more than a book! You Can Have A Happy Family, is an emergency rescue manual for ANY relationship, no matter how far down your situation has sunk. This book is so easy to read, very well written, filled from cover to cover with the hidden secrets to real happiness! Let's face it... what is a life of high achievement, if you don't have a FAMILY to share it with? What is grief, if you don't have a FAMILY to lift you up in life's darkest moments?
Ecclesiastes 4:8-12 NLT says, "This is the case of a man who is all alone, without a child or a brother, yet who works hard to gain as much wealth as he can. But then he asks himself, 'Who am I working for? Why am I giving up so much pleasure now?' It is all so meaningless and depressing. Two people are better off than one, for they can help each other succeed. If one person falls, the other can reach out and help. But someone who falls alone is in real trouble. Likewise, two people lying close together can keep each other warm. But how can one be warm alone? A person standing alone can be attacked and defeated, but two can stand back-to-back and conquer. Three are even better, for a triple-braided cord is not easily broken.
This book is healing to the broken family... it's a clear map to the kind of relationships you've always dreamed of having! I hope you enjoy it just as much as I have. Thank you Amanda and God bless you for this gift!

I learn best from one's example & not when given a list of "do's"&"don'ts". Amanda has graciously opened up the things that held her captive in her marriage & in raising children & offers the key (God's Word) to show us how we can be set free.

Amanda has a unique ability to use Bible knowledge, personal experience and godly insight to address the challenges of marriage with frankness and compassion. She is also very open about her own family experiences, which adds a compelling element to her work. I enjoyed her book.

Psychologists and PhD’s usually author marriage and family books. They base their information for their books on research and experience counseling clients. Amanda wrote YOU CAN HAVE A HAPPY FAMILY from the trenches. When Amanda writes about discipline or sacrifice or intimacy or marital relationships you can take her advice to the bank for two reasons: 1) she lives what she writes every day. As a thirty-something stay-at-home mother of four (from a toddler to a pre-teen) she writes about her own experiences, her successes and her failures. Her transparent candid informal writing style puts readers in the midst of her life. 2) She writes from a deeply felt commitment to allow the Lord to show her and teach her what His will is for her marriage and family.

Amanda is both gifted and anointed to write. This book contains God's truths presented in a way that is easy to read and remember, that is through real life stories, testimonies, surveys and exhortations. This book will help you become a better and a more practical husband/wife, dad/mum, and a better person as a whole. It will absolutely change you and leave a mark on you that can't be erased for the glory of God.

The abundant life God intends for every believer by identifying spiritual strongholds and removing all obstacles that hinder you from enjoying all the benefits of a happy family. In this very special book, Amanda Beth has taken her true life stories that God used to draw her and her family closer to Him, and turned them into an amazing teaching tool. I have learned many things that will not only help my marriage but my life.
Chaplain Dave Moore – Author of The Father's Love
Author Amanda Beth share with us her own Spiritual journey from a place of brokenness to wholeness. In her book she shares her own experiences with God and how the Lord never gave up on her, even at times when she gave up on herself.
This book is a must read for any young women, who wants to discover what real love is really all about and how to find peace and contentment within herself. Amanda touch on many areas where the enemy deceive many of us. She shine the light on many tactics the enemy(Satan) uses to derail our families.
This book is also a great resource for any married couple. They will be edified by the content of this amazing book. All and all a great book. I'm so delighted that there are authors who are willing to share a piece of there own life journey with others. So that they through there personal experiences can help others. In our society today, where divorce figures are climbing every year. It is great to have books like these, that give us some hope for our future.
All and all a great book. I personally learned a lot from its content. Well done Amanda, may God bless you and your family even more.

Amanda Beth has written a Christ-centered treasure with her book. ... I don't have time to reread books in my busy life, but I am in the process of reading her book - again. One of the biggest dangers to Christ's church is the steady breakdown of the family unit. Because of this, Christian bookstores are lined with self-help marriage, family, and parenting books. I've read through quite a few of these books in the last decade, and Amanda Beth's book, You Can Have a Happy Family, is at the top of my list. Her attention to detail and adherence to scripture frame a well-written and engaging book that can be read a chapter at a time or during a long weekend.
You Can Have a Happy Family has been a blessing from God for my marriage. After reading it myself I'm now reading through it with my husband. The book is a Godly prescription to heal and strengthen marriage and the family, no matter the challenges or trials faced. I highly recommend her book, and I urge couples to use the book as a bible study with your spouse. It's been a wonderful discussion tool for my husband and me, one that points us toward God's best for our marriages and families.

From reading this book, it is obvious that Amanda is passionate about marriages and families. Not just any old, mediocre, only getting by, by the skin of our teeth marriages and families, but HEALTHY, WHOLE, deliriously happy families! Her prayer is to see in every family, husbands and wives that truly love each other, their children, and wholeheartedly God.
This book is full of encouragement and hope. Everything she includes points to the Bible, and Scripture is included on almost every page. There is no overnight fix, but Amanda gives practical advice on important areas to start changing, some things for us to work on, and other things to give over to God. Ultimately, He is the only one that can give us the happy families we desire.

Amanda Beth is a gifted writer. I love the way in which she wrote You Can Have A Happy Family. As a single person, who is neither married nor close to being married, the teachings on marriage were easy to comprehend due to the way she incorporated Bible passages and her real-life experiences.
Many authors teach on marriage. However, many of them don't seem realistic. When reading her book I felt as if she understood the problems couples face in their relationships. And although she focuses on perfecting one's marriage, she doesn't portray marriage to be perfect. She's real, she's credible, and overall, a great writer.
I've read several dating books, marriage books, and even had one-to-one lessons, but this one surpasses them all. I know that if I do get married, and for future relationships, I will reflect upon the lessons she has taught.
Ashley Ormon - Founder of Proverbs and Wisdom
Within each chapter, Amanda Beth includes helpful subsections that provide suggested applications for common marital problems. Perhaps one of my favorite things about Amanda Beth's book is that she has a sincere and transparent style, which takes you into her life and the struggles she herself has faced.
"You Can Have a Happy Family" is a valuable resource and one that can be used many times over. It can be applied to any marriage, whether a new marriage, or a marriage of many decades. It can be applied to any family situation, including those with children of all ages and stages. I highly recommend this book for all families.
Penny Zeller - Author of several books including popular Montana Skies Historical Romance Series
She's passionate about her faith and allowing God to be the center of her marriage and family. Out of this passion comes a desire to share what she's learned on her journey to creating a home where every member thrives in relationship with each other and God.
Other authors have tackled everything that Amanda Beth discusses in You Can Have a Happy Family. But one thing I especially liked about this book was the tone. There were times when I almost felt like I was sitting down with a cup of coffee and having a conversation with a friend. I also appreciated the author's willingness to share pieces of her personal story. She was vulnerable enough to share her own struggles and victories, but I never felt she crossed boundaries. Jesus used parables to teach because people relate to and learn from story. I believe readers will find hope through the author's examples of what she's experienced and what has worked for her.
Golden nuggets are offered in this book. I recommend getting a copy if you are looking for encouraging ways to strengthen the personal and spiritual relationships in your own family.

When I began reading this book I was surprised at how it seemed like I was reading something that was written just for me. I am married but have no children. My marriage is not what it used to be nor close to the way it should be. At first I thought this book was not for me due to not having children, but once I started to read it I realized it is exactly what I needed to be reading besides my Bible. People call me narrow minded and that's okay because it is a narrow road...AMEN!
I normally do not read so called "Help Books" but this one is unique. ALL through the chapters it is covered in Scriptures. Amanda has shared them in such a simple way that anyone can understand. It is not confusing nor does she just share pieces of Scripture but she does it without removing the true meaning and if applied to your life, would really not only make you happier but also have a closer walk with God Almighty. She peppers her life and experiences in between these Scriptures which helped me literally see how to apply them to my life in Christ Jesus and without being preachy. It is not a literal step by step book...do this and do not do that ...which I found refreshing.

I wanted to reach out to you and say ‘Bravo’ on the book. There are so many ‘parallels’ to my own situation. At present, my wife and I are in a very bad place. And I truly don't know what the outcome will be. Your book has helped me immensely and I am going to pass it on to her, as well. You asked for feedback and I can only supply ‘positive.’ I truly like the ‘informal’ manner of the book. Very real. Very conversational. Spot on with so many of the anecdotes and stories.

Your book is great! I have been implementing what I have learned from it. I liked the part where you said you sometimes you let one of the kids stay up a bit late just to have one on one time with them. I like that idea of not being so rigid with bed time. Thanks very much for your book. It's changing lives already before it's even published.

This is no ordinary marriage self-help book. Drawn from personal experience, research, and using biblical principles, you reveal what true happiness, contentment and love really looks like. You address many of the issues we face today, get at the source of our problems, and show how to apply God’s word to our everyday lives. This is an excellent, powerful read that demonstrates how putting God first can transform you and your family. Great book.

I thought this was a well written, easy to understand book that goes beyond human perspective. It is full of God's wisdom. It teaches God's definition of love and it highlights key verses that answer a lot of questions we have about marriage and raising children. I think this book is a real useful tool that we should always want to read over again to keep it fresh in our minds.

I loved reading Amanda Beth's book. It's a blessing and I plan on reading it again when I'm done with a couple other books. Her guidance and Bible shared through out the whole book encouraged me in my relationship with my husband. When I got to the part about divorce, what she had to say was so different from the its okay to divorce and get remarried Christian mentality that's out there today! I was so excited to share it with a family member who is having marital problems. I'm sure it will bless her immensely because she desires to follow the Lord in all matters and I think this will give her a foundation that will really strengthen her resolve and trust in the Lord for her husband and her marriage. So thankful for how it has helped my attitude and heart in my marriage too and my walk with the Lord! Truly blessed and thankful I found this book!

This book was a good read. Amanda Beth does a good job of using Scripture behind the concepts presented throughout this book, as well as pulling from surveys that she did. The topics covered are ones that most couples deal with and it is a good conversation starter for husbands and wives.
